Erie Canal Museum programs are made possible with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a State Agency.   The Institute of Museum and Library Services, a Federal agency that fosters innovation, leadership and a lifetime of learning, supports the Erie Canal Museum.   The Erie Canal Museum is accredited by the American Association fo Museums. Accreditation by the American Association of Museums certifies that a museum achieves and maintains the strict standards of quality and excellence set forth by the museum profession.
